An informational and community site run by Adrienne Dellwo, a journalist and FM sufferer.  The site includes Adrienne’s blog, an extensive collection of CFS/FM resources, and an online forum with an active patient community.  You can subscribe to a free weekly newsletter that highlights new articles and resources on the site.

Founded by Christine Miserandino, a Lupus patient, the site’s mission is to help those with invisible illnesses live their lives to the fullest and not feel isolated and alone. The site and blog features a multitude of articles written by Christine and other patient columnists.  In addition to the articles in the website and blog, the site has a very active message board and chat room.

CFIDS & Fibromyalgia Self-Help

Created by Bruce Campbell, Ph.D., a health educator and recovered CFS patient, this non-profit organization offers low-cost online self-help courses for people affected by Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia.  The website also has an extensive collection of free articles online, with an emphasis on self-management and the use of multiple coping strategies.

Co-Cure ME/CFS & Fibromyalgia Information Exchange

Co-Cure is a long-standing volunteer, patient-driven effort to promote the sharing of information about CFS/FM and related disorders.  You can subscribe to the free informational email list that provides notices about CFS/FM-related events, publications, media coverage, conferences, and medical research. It’s one of the best ways I know to stay up to date about what’s happening in the CFS/FM community.

Health Central Fibromyalgia

HealthCentral operates more than 35 condition-specific and wellness sites, including one on chronic pain with an extensive section on fibromyalgia.  Karen Lee Richards, a well-known writer and FM patient, writes an excellent ongoing FM blog.

Phoenix Rising

Founded in 2003 and run by CFS/ME patient Cort Johnson, who writes an excellent blog, Phoenix Rising has an extensive database of articles on every topic related to CFS/ME and Fibromyalgia.  They also offer a large interactive forum with one of the most active CFS/FM patient communities.  This is a non-profit organization that offers a very up-to-date and content-rich site.

Treating Chronic Fatigue Syndrome & Fibromyalgia

A joint effort by health educator Dr. Bruce Campbell and Dr. Charles Lapp, M.D., one of the few doctors in the U.S. who specializes in  treating CFS, fibromyalgia and related disorders.  The site offers a wealth of resources on treatments and coping strategies, and will guide you step by step through the process of creating an individualized treatment plan.
